Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca, is renowned for its wonderful beaches and superb climate. The Costa Blanca runs from Denia and Javea in the north to Guardamar and Torrevieja in the south.

There are many attractions alongside the Costa Blanca, but its beauty comes from the sea, its beaches, the mountain backdrops and its tiny villages giving the Costa Blanca its unique attraction.

Torrevieja

Torrevieja has grown over many years from a small fishing village into a beautiful town with many tree lined paseos and parks. There is a large port, where you can take a boat trip to the island of Tabarca or a run along the coastline. There are evening dinner boat trips too. There is excellent fishing off shore and all the usual water sports.

It is not generally realised that Torrevieja and Orihuela merge only around 2 miles south of Torrevieja town centre and the area beyond this is known as the Playas de Orihuela, playa meaning beach. Therefore, when people refer to the area of Torrevieja they use the term loosely to include both areas.

The whole area has endless golden sandy beaches and pretty little coves, with inland areas of citrus groves, pine clad hillsides and often with views of lakes and distant mountain backdrops. For the golf enthusiast it is a paradise, with three superb courses at Villa Martin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas already well established and a fourth one planned. All three courses are in idyllic settings, are lush and undulating and have superb club houses with every facility. The whole area of Torrevieja and Playas de Orihuela is a residential area with few hotels, therefore keeping away the lager louts and troublemakers who descend on some of the resorts on the Costas each year.

Castalla

Castalla is set in picturesque mountain surroundings, in a rural setting with excellent views as far as the eye can see. This quaint, old town with its narrow streets has a traditional Spanish feel about it. It has a historic medieval castle at its highest point. The town has all the modern facilities that you would expect, but manages to retain all of it’s charm.
