Costa Calida

The Costa Calida is located in the southeast corner of Spain. The average annual temperature here is 20°C, the area has less than 40 days of rain a year and the sea temperature rarely falls below 18°C.

The Costa Calida incorporates the famous La Manga Club, widely regarded as being one of Europe’s top tourist complexes. Foreign tourists largely overlooked the coastline to the south of La Manga until quite recently. The combination of low cost housing and year-round sunshine make this an ideal location to purchase a permanent or holiday homes.

The Costa Calida is easily accessed by air. You can fly into Murcia’s San Javier airport, and the major international airport of Alicante is only an hour’s drive to the north.

Mazarron

Mazarron and Puerto Mazarron, hidden away in the Southeast of Spain offers a true taste of real Spain. No package holidaymakers venture into this secret paradise. No English style pubs mar the seafront promenade. This is the Spain of old with unspoilt beaches, over 35kms of shoreline, high mountain ranges, traditional tapas bars, Fiestas and all the colour and flavour of this traditional culture.

La Manga

Situated in the Province of Murcia, La Manga is on the southeast Mediterranean coast of Spain. It is a narrow strip of land approximately 22km long, which encloses the Mar Menor to the west and separates it from the Mediterranean to the east. This is a coastal area, which boasts one of the most moderate climates in Spain, with more days of sunshine than other mainland areas and water temperatures higher than average it has become known as the Costa Calida - the Warm Coast.

La Manga is known as ‘a paradise between two seas’ and boasts over 44km of ‘Blue Flag’ beaches. Narrower, but with protected bays and coves on the side of the Mar Menor, and longer, wider expanses of pure golden sand fronting the Mediterranean. The Mar Menor, or fountain of health is the largest salt-water lake in Europe. With an average depth of 3.5m, and a maximum of 6.5m, it is a magnificent natural swimming pool with temperatures in the winter months of 11ºC, which rises to 30ºC in the summer.

The shallow waters and the absence of tides make the Mar Menor the ideal place for all types of water sports. The waters register a saline content of 50%, the highest in Europe and are scientifically recognised as being therapeutic in the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis and other ailments. Nearby is the luxurious La Manga Club created in 1400 acres of lush, rolling countryside. Here, in an area the size of Monaco, are three championship golf courses, one of Europe’s finest tennis centres, and many other excellent sporting and recreational facilities including swimming and water sports.

La Manga has grown to become one of the most important and interesting resorts on the Mediterranean coast. It offers many alternative types of accommodation and recreation, with an abundance of restaurants, bars, shopping complexes and nightlife to meet the demands of residents and holidaymakers alike.
